ABOUT | Gillian Shields

Gillian Shields is an author, transformational teacher, and creator of So This Is Love the podcast, dedicated to helping people find love, freedom and success after difficult relationship experiences like breakups, divorce, toxic family dynamics, and energy-draining relationships.

With a solid foundation in psychology, health, and brain behavior, Gillian spent 8 years earning her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) degrees. But her commitment to personal and spiritual growth didn’t stop there. For over a decade, she’s immersed herself in soul and spiritual principles, empowering herself and others to create profound change.

In addition to her academic expertise, Gillian spent over ten years in her corporate career, helping individuals navigate complex ethical dilemmas and creating strategies to address them. This diverse background, coupled with her personal journey, has equipped her with the tools to guide others through life’s toughest challenges.

Gillian’s resilience shines through her ability to build a joyful and rewarding life despite facing toxic relationships, personal traumas, and family challenges. While most people might be defined by their struggles, Gillian proves that you can rise above and create a life filled with love, success, and peace. Where others run from pain, she dives into it, finding a path to healing and growth that leads to a brighter future.

Through her books, including Happy Boundaries, The Dating Pattern Cure, and Dear Haters, Gillian shows readers how to succeed in relationships and life, even after adversity. Her unique communication style blends honesty, realness, psychology, and spirituality, offering insights that will transform the way you view life and your relationships.

As the host of So This Is Love, Gillian inspires listeners to rethink what love truly means, how to navigate difficult relationship situations, and how to embrace personal growth for a fulfilling and empowered life.

If you're ready to turn pain into power and create a life better than you ever imagined, Gillian is here to guide you through the journey.

I teaching personal transformation on growth-purpose relationships.

WTF is a growth-purpose relationship?

An experience with another person that to the human self, continually feels like a challenge, an imbalanced exchange, or disadvantage, but to the soul, is a powerful and purposeful encounter to evolve and create the highest-fulfilled life. These relationships often occur with family, friends, romantic partners, or other people who feel significant to your life experience. The soul-purpose of them is often outside the immediate awareness of the human self.

We all have growth-purpose relationships - they are a powerful tool our soul uses to awaken and come to know itself.
