So This Is Love, the podcast | Surprise Pre-Season 4 Episode - A different summer + the only reason needed to have boundaries

EPISODE SUMMARY

Once the summer season approaches, we all feel something: We want to make the most of the warm weather, vacations, socializing, and soaking up the time of year when nature is in full bloom. We want to “have the best summer”. Chances are, you’ll also be asked “How is your summer going?” on multiple occasions. A question that doesn’t seem as popular in other seasons. Why? Because summer has a lot of promises and potential.

But sometimes, the summer season doesn’t always live up to what you hoped it would. Or, you end the season with regrets, wishing it lasted longer, or that you did more (or less) than you did.

This summer has been different, in a good way. I spent much less time and energy on worrying about how to have “The best summer”, and actually lived it with presence. I also had much thought about boundaries and how they relate to a purposeful and well-loved life.

In this episode, I talk about:

  • Summer reading and what I've been up to this summer

  • Releasing pressure and FOMO about "Having the best summer"

  • Surprising ways I've felt this summer that I didn't expect

  • How I unintentionally created more peace and still accomplished goals

  • The one perspective I return to when deciding on boundaries for my life and relationships

  • My surprise for you coming this Fall!

Enjoy!

WHAT YOU’LL GAIN FROM THIS EPISODE

  • Feeling seen and heard in the experience of feeling like you need to “have the best summer”

  • How to release pressure and FOMO (fear of missing out) about summer, and instead, guide life by presence

  • A clear-cut perspective that will help you take action on self-honoring boundaries in life and relationships - for example, no longer accepting negative, imbalanced relationships and investing in healthy relationships and yourself.
